Hello, my name is Jose Gonzalez I'm from South FL Miami, I was an ASE tech for 40 years now retired.
3 months ago I bought a 2004 Merlot with tan interior with 38500 miles in great condition clean and no rust it came from NM, I loved the T-Bird when it came out in 2002 but there were other priorities back then.
In all my years as a mechanic I only worked on 2 of them and it was only maintenance.
So far I had to replace the FEM for the usual instrument and shifter lights and suspension will need work in the future.
Hope that I can contribute to the forum.

Let me be the first to welcome you to our forum. There are a lot of good people here that also enjoy their Retro Birds. I am the second owner of a 2004 PCR bird I bought in 2016. I look forward to our discussions about the cars. I am sure your experience will benefit many of us. You may have to overlook the political foolishness posts, but the cars are the important subjects.

Jose! Consider yourself one of the lucky ones in a T-Bird!! Glad that you found us, and ask us some Thunderbird questions! We NEED more Bird content.

Welcome Jose and congratulations on your purchase. I've had a retro as a daily driver since 2002. There's not many repairs I haven't done so please ask if anything comes up. My current estimate is that I have over 1 million Retro parts available so if you ever need anything, let me know

Greetings, Jose, welcome to the forum. Merlot is my favorite color on the TBird, (followed closely by Torch Red, the color of mine). I haven't been here very long, but you'll find lots of friendly and helpful folks here. It's always good to have another mechanic on the forum, I will probably have lots of questions in the future, especially when it comes to electronics and computer related stuff. I know just enough to get me into trouble.
